Australians of all ages are invited to be a part of the effort to improve Indigenous literacy.

Here are some ideas to get you started.

• Participate in the 2008 Readers' Quest sharing our common love of books and reading while raising money to support Indigenous literacy.  The Readers' Quest is a terrific idea for bookclubs.
• Encourage your local school to host an event on Indigenous Literacy Day and participate in Readers' Quest.  Make sure your children's teacher or teacher librarian knows about this website.
• On Indigenous Literacy Day, September 3 2008 purchase a book at a participating bookshop.
• On Indigenous Literacy Day organise a gold coin donation at your workplace or school.
• Raise awareness of this project in your workplace newsletter, notice board or website.  Send a link to this website to your friends.
